  4. When the onions are soft, pour the soup from step 2, little by little. Add the ketchup and Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce.
  5. Set the heat to low, and simmer for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  6. Finally, add the cream (or milk) and vinegar, and simmer for an additional 3 minutes or so.
  7. Serve with buttered rice or pasta.

You need a tender cut here. The addition of sour cream adds an extra dimension of flavor to the ground beef stroganoff and makes it nice and creamy and ultra delicious. Make sure to stir it up well! Like I said — this easy beef stroganoff is admittedly not the prettiest pony in the stable, but good food doesn't always have to be beautiful! I serve my stroganoff in the classic way, over egg noodles.
